Stephen Gibson, of Powerscourt Pictures, is a dynamic, entrepreneurial individual with a 30 year proven sales, marketing, and media career, building business through innovation; relationship & brand building for his and for international FMCG and media companies. He held senior sales and marketing roles with C&C/Pepsi, Kraft Foods International, Diageo, Newscorp & RCA Media Entertainment.Born in Dublin, Ireland, and educated to degree level in sales and marketing, Stephen moved to Banbridge in Northern Ireland. Following in her dad's footsteps writing, producing, and directing, her first short wa the Cinemagic award shortlisted 'Bloom to Perish' in 2016 when she was 15.Having been involved with the famous Billie Barry stage school in Dublin as a young lad, and was the face of Birds Custard in an 80's TV Commercial; in 2008 with a desire to get back involved into film and entertainment, Stephen with his business and commercial head, moved naturally toward producing. In 2010 he produced his first short film 'Fallen'. It screened in numerous Irish festivals.Stephen's production credits now include the historic Irish short 'An Tain'; the award-winning short 'I am Spoon'; and the highly successful short 'Bridge to Kindness' which screened in festivals from Belfast to Bangladesh. He produced numerous shorts before producing Graham Cantwell's feature 'The Callback Queen' in 2013. It was picked up in Cannes in 2015 in a deal Stephen negotiated himself. The Callback Queen had its UK and Irish theatrical release, it had a short cinema run in the US with special thanks to George R.R. Martin, and is now available on Amazon in the US. The Callback Queen was recently sold to Sky in New Zealand, was released in Germany, with other territories under negotiation.Stephen wrote, produced, and directed the TV Pilot 'On Witches Hill'; he was the Irish producer on the US / Irish co-production 'Maidens of the Sea' in 2014, and he produced Paco Torres' feature film 'Saol' in 2014. Stephen was Production Manager on a number of Irish feature films including on the Irish feature 'The Gaelic Curse' directed by Jack Conroy (My Left Foot / The Field) and he was the Production Supervisor on the Zanzibar / RTE / Irish Film Board feature film 'Sanctuary' in 2016, directed by Len Collin. It won Best Feature at the Galway Film Fleadh (2017).Powerscourt Pictures Ltd was formed in Northern Ireland in 2015. They have offices in Banbridge, Dublin, and Los Angeles.
