Plot Summary
- Three strangers Jagavar Chaudhary (Sunny Deol) a retired military officer, Vinay Sharma (Bobby Deol) a schoolteacher and Arjun Singh (Shreyas Talpade) a recovery agent are unknown to each other. Jagavar Chaudhary's sister Anjali's (Lovely Singh) engagement gets canceled. He is told that the fiance and his family have changed their mind of engaging with Anjali for "they cannot accept an alliance with such a shameful family". Jagavar is married to Sunita (Sonali Kulkarni). Anuj (Randheer Rai) is Jagavar's younger brother.Vinay Sharma's wife Suraj Mukhi (Samikssha Batnagar) threatens to divorce him for she cannot forgive his "irresponsible deeds". She leaves him to go live with her mother and starts divorce proceedings against Vinay.Arjun Singh's to be father-in-law disapproves him for his daughter Riya (Tripti Dimri) for "he can't get his daughter married to such a person". The reason is unknown to the three until they come across a Poster promoting vasectomy which has their photos on it (also claiming that the trio went through the procedure themselves) without their knowledge.And after that starts their journey of getting humiliated by their families and society; rebelling against the system which landed them in this confusing mess in the first place. Their families refuse to believe that their photos landed on a Government poster by mistake and without their consent. They find the address of the district health office on the poster and decide to start their investigation there to find out how their photos ended up on the posters.The trio reach the district health officers Balwant & Ravi, who had got the posters published to please the Chief Minister. He used the trio's photos, because the budget provided for the photos was wasted in corruption by Balwant.Jagavar gives Balwant 12 days to remove all posters, publish an apology in the papers and compensate them with Rs 15 Lakhs each. The trio realize that their photos on the poster were clicked in the village fair. They confront the photographer Suraj (Jitendra Joshi), who says that he handed the photos to Subhaash, the offset guy. Subhaash is the owner of the print shop who printed the posters. Subhaash says that he got the instructions to use the photos from Ravi.12 days pass but Balwant & Ravi (his assistant) have not taken any action. At the deadline date, the three can't find Balwant and Ravi to fulfill their promise so they turn to their superior Mongia for help, who refuses to meet them.Meanwhile the wives of Jagavar and Vinay, and Arjun's fiance are all pregnant. Riya wants to run away with Arjun, but Arjun requests Jagavar to give shelter to Riya at his farmhouse, which he does. The trio now head to the state health ministry, but Balwant has forewarned the Technical Director Rekha's (Farhana Fatema) secretary Trivedi, who doesn't allow the trio to meet the Technical Director. They are arrested by the police for threatening the secretary, and the police officer encourages them to file a court case. The three desperate men then decide to sue the Health Department.But the incident goes viral with help of a local reporter Aniket (Raashul Tandon) and they are gaining people's support. As media latches on to the report, Rekha summons Balwant, Rajiv and Mogai and threatens them to bring the situation under control. They get Vinay transferred to a remote district and Arjun is fired from his job.Meanwhile Jagavar's family finds that he is hiding Riya at his farmhouse. They call in Riya's parents and Jagavar tries to convince them to get Riya and Arjun married. Riya's family refuses and takes her away.Meanwhile the court case drags on for several months. The trio fail the case because the Health Department use a lot of fake evidence including faked documents showing that they willingly finished the operation and asked to post their photos.During a press conference suggested by Aniket, angered Arjun announces that they will protest naked if the authority doesn't give them justice, drawing attention of greater public to this incident. They start their naked protest at the promised day with only underpants, and people supporting them also uploaded videos of them naked supporting the three's request.The Chief Minister (Sachin Khedekar) summons the Health Minister (Murali Sharma) and his entire team. When he finds out the truth, the Chief minister personally apologizes to the trio and announces a compensation of Rs 2 Lakhs each. Arjun gets married to Riya, and they have a daughter. Jagavar sister's wedding is back on track.
